Prior to founding HPC, Jake served as Chief Legal Officer at Variant, where he led the firm’s legal, regulatory, and policy strategy. Before that, he was Chief Policy Officer at the Blockchain Association, where he managed the organization’s policy and government relations work. Jake previously served as General Counsel for DeFi development company Compound Labs, Inc., and represented individuals and financial institutions in private practice, where he focused on securities and commodities litigation and government enforcement defense.
